19th Alton Bus Rally

Brilliant weather brought lots of people to Anstey Park in Alton where I and and a number of friends helped out to make this the best rally yet.

After the disappointment of having to cancel last years event due to waterlogged ground (see here and here) we could not have asked for better weather.

Anyway , here are some photos from the day.

GNU568N (Trent 421) ran a couple of shuttle services to Ruddington Green where these photos were taken.

And there is also a railway there running to Loughborough. These photos were taken at Ruddington station. There is a small halt between here and Loughborough.unusually the loco didn't run round and propelled the train on the return journey.

There is no platform at Loughborough but heres a couple of photos of the Brush Falcon Works taken from the train.
