Nothing better to to do

27/6/15

A bit of an update on a couple of things.

I have now visited and drunk at 12 beer festivals out of 50 for my challenge.

On 23rd May I finally became a preserved bus owner. Myself and 3 others now own DT15. It is a 1990 Dennis Dart that looks like this:

The observant ones of you will note it is not a Leyland National!

It worked from Fulwell when new, then on to Airbus services. A few years in Dorset. Latterly it has been with a couple of Hampshire operators.

A very nice little 28 seater.

You will be able to see the bus at

My BF50 Challenge update 12

18/6/15

To celebrate their winnning their local CAMRA branch pub of the year the Fox and Houds at Caversham was the venue for my 12th beer festival.

Also my first visit to this pub, about 20 minutes walk from Reading station.

My BF50 Challenge update 10

13/6/15

Another new festival for me today.

More about the Orchid charity:

A small tent in a park for this beer festival

Inside looked much better:

Some beers of note that I had were: Binghams - Savinja Valley Craft Hop 4.5%,  Saltaire - Amarillo Gold 4.4% and Triple Chocoholic 4.8% and Sherfield Village - Terry's Orange Balls 5%.

A very good little festival, raising money for charity, well worth the visit.
