Another Prospect (trade union) conference in Nottingham on 17/5/23 meant another opportunity to explore some of Nottinghams pubs.

My train from London St Pancras
As I had meetings to attend from 1600 to 1830 I decided to have a few beers before checking into my first hotel and going to the meetings.
First stop was Beerheadz
Then Barley Twist
I then checked in the Hilton
but not a great room
Between my meetings ending at 1830 and the conference dinner at 2000 I paid a quick visit to the Whistle & Flute, a former Tailor's shop, hence the name. My first visit here.
After the conference dinner I found time to visit the Mist Rolling Inn (formerly Room With A Brew)

Final pub was the Sir John Borlase Warren

After conference had concluded I checked into my next hotel Leonardo's. A much better room on the 9th floor and a good view.
Afer sorting things out in my hotel room I walked into the city centre via the canal
My first stop was the Tap House Notts, a serve yourself bar.
You get youself a card, put in slot by beer, pour beer and it tells you how much of a pint you have put in your glass and the cost.

Next stop was Junkyard
then next door to the Herbert Kilpin
The Kean's Head was next

This building in the Lace Market was lit up so i took some photos of it.
then Angel was next
And finally the Cock & Hoop

Before visiting yet more pubs I went to find, photograph and walk the Park Tunnel.

As I was walking to my first drimking establishment 2 things caught my eye.
First was this signpost
Second was this lovely Art Deco Building
Turns out it is Grade II listed. More info here
First pub today was an old one, Ye Olde Trip To Jeusalem
Then Canalhouse
I then went back to my hotel room as a couple of my next 2 pubs didnt open until 1600.
I used the time to write my Park Tunnel blog.
Eventually I went back out and first stop was the Fox & Grapes
Then a new micropub for me, the Partizan Tavern
Next was my first visit to the Neon Raptor brewery taproom
Bunkers Hill was next
Finally the Angel (no photos taken this time)

My original plan for today was to get the 1050 train from Nottingham to St Pancras. Unfortunately this was then cancelled along with the subsequent 1112 departure. The next train would be 1150 but I decided that would probably be very full with 3 trains worth of passengers on it. Decision made to 1250 train having waited for Beerheadz to open at 1200.
