Kerrera Craft Beer & Gin Bar

 2/10/22

A much needed new addition to the Guildford beer scene.  Located in Jeffries Passage.

10 taps and 2 fridges await you.

An upstairs room also available and is also the location for the toilets.

The owner Callum told me he concentrating on localish breweries such as Sirem, Double Barrelled and Phantom. Taps 1-5 for more standard type beers and taps 6-10 for different types such as DIPA, sours and stronger beers.

Not far from Guildfords other taproom Growlers and Cans. It was closed but see here for my April visit.

I had 3 beer here:

Phantom Brewing - Echoes 6.8% sour

Phantom Brewing - 1.21 Gigawatts 8.4% a double IPA

Alpha Delta - Rug Pull 7% a oat cream IPA

Verdict: I'll be back.

D8059 plus a goods train on the Watercress Line

 11/09/22

I decided to be a pssenger on the Watercress Line today and take a few photos of Class 20 number D8059 plus Urie S15 number 506 on a goods train.

The empty coaching stock needed to be shunted from the station siding to platform 3.

In the platform ready for the 1045 departure to Alresford.

Running round at Alresford

08288 Phoenix in the cattle dock siding at Alresford

D8059 ready for the 1150 departure to Alton

I particularly like the Horsechestnut Lef moquette in this first class coach.

Upon arrival I then went trackside to take some more photos (MHR PTS held)

First 506 and its goods train arrived, and waited for D8059s departure from platform 3.

Then D8059 departed on the 1300 to Alton

Video of 506 working the 1330  Alton to Alresford non-stop goods service.

And finally a poor shot of 30925 Cheltenham arriving at Alton.

A day out to Gosport

 7/8/22

Gosport bus rally and another opportunity for me to visit some new pubs.

I had the choice of three buses there (photo taken a Emsworth services)

After last sundays issues in Worthing i doule checked opening times for the pubs.

I got a bus from the rally site at Stokes Bay to Gosport Fery Terminal and Bus Station.

First one was the Four-Ale Taproom micropub.

A short walk to theQueen's Hotel

It was quite a long walk to the next pub but i took a number of what i thought were interesting things.

And eventually arrived at the Powder monkey Taproom.

Next stop was Clarence Tavern but that was closed.

The final stop was the 33 Green Bottles micropub.

Bus back to rally site

And a choice of 4 buses home.
