I stayed in Altrincham this year, a 25minute tram ride from Manchester city centre.
Two pubs visited before checking into my hotel.
First was the Con Club, formerly a Conservative Club but now a bar/restaurant with an on site brewery.
The brewery
3 beers brewed on site were available and duly drunk
Then to the Old Market Tavern
three more beers here
After checking into my hotel, I got a tram back to St Peters Square for the Manchester Beer and Cider Festival. It was open 5-9 for CAMRA members only.
When back in Altrincham I stopped at Pi
24/1/19
Back to the beer festival, did a bit of work on admissions and drunk some more beer, met a few friends from far and wide and generally enjoyed myself.
ended up back at Pi in Altrincham
25/1/19
Walked to Hale for 3 pubs.
First the Railway
then the Elk
and the final pub in Hale, the Cheshire Midland Hotel with wonderful interior.
Walked back to Altrincham, first stop was the Unicorn (Spoons), then Cheshire Tap
Costello's Bar, the Dunham Massey brewery tap was next
then Tavern on the Green
Belgian Bar with a real fire
Finally the Jack In The Box in Altrincham Market
26/1/19
Manchester city centre first today.
Seven Brothers bar was closed for a private event, next was a new pub called Cask, that opened at 12 and I did not want to hang around for 20 minutes, so a slow walk to 2 more new pubs for me.
Northern Monk Refectory and Beatnikz Republic bar are almost opposite each other.
