DT15 update

 29/04/24

Thought it was about time I wrote about the little bus that I am co-owner of.

Dennis Dart DT15 (G515VYE) has undergone a few changes recently.

Firstly she is now MOT'd and taxed etc to go out on the public roads again.

A lot of work to the interior has happened.

Finally, all the external vinyls have been applied and destination blinds fitted.

Her first public outing was to Brooklands on 14 April.

At the end of the day the bus was taken to Alexander Dennis in Farnborough for safe keeping prior to their open day on 27 April.

While there some photos were taken by Claire who works there.

Some photos from the Open Day

The bus looks great now reviving memories of Harrier bus services in SW London in the early 1990s.

Alexander Dennis Farnborough Open Day

 27/4/24

I had volunteered to help here. I arrived about 0820.

This was in the Reception

Then upstairs to office area to collect paperwork and get a briefing about the event.

The view from the window was interesting.

Back outside we put up a couple of temporary bus stops and waited the start of the free bus services.

My duties for the rest of the day was as one of the bus controllers of the free bus services.

Just time for some photos elsewhere on site.

Some photos of buses in service

Once the last service had departed at 1515 I then took some more photos elsewhere on the site.

Information sheets about some the buses above.

And more photos

An interesting day out and no rain.

Why not take a look at one of my previous blogs ADL Guildford Open Day from May 2019.
