Manchester Day 3

Saturday 21st January:

Tram from Piccdilly to MediaCity UK.

I tookanother tram to St Werburgh's Road (changing at Cornbrook) and then walked to Chorlton and first bar was another Marble bar.

Next stop the Horse and Jockey, home of the Bootleg Brewery who weren't selling any of their beers. A bit disappointing to say the least.

No Bootleg beers on my visit.

The Trevor Arms was next

Then to the Parlour.

Last stop in Chorlton was called The Oddest

Viewed from the tram is the former Manchester Central railway station.

Back to 

 I got the tram back to the city centre, alighting at the Shudehill stop, for a visit to the Arndale Centre where the Microbar is to be found.

 

And back for my final beer festival session.

 

And so finally. A brilliant 3 days, lots of great beers and a real choice of pubs and bars to drink them.

Manchester Day 2

Friday 20th January.

I started the day at a couple of Wetherspoons pubs.The Paramount and The Waterhouse.

St Peters Square

Town Hall. Fantastic design.

Then a walk to the New Oxford in Salford where a beer festival was being held.

Next stop was the Kings Arms.

Then to the Mark Addy.

Somewhere in Manchester. Can't remember where it is though.

Walking back to the city centre I saw the top of this old brewery. Threlfalls. See link for more info.

And back to the beer festival.
