A Day Trip to Kettering

This was my first visit to Kettering. I had seen the Alexandra Arms mentioned a lot so a visit there plus other pubs in the town was planned. Photos first with a beer summary at the end.

First pub was the Piper, about 20 minutes walk from the station.

Very bland exterior but good inside.

Another 20 minute walk took me to the Alexandra Arms.

Next stop was the Three Cocks, this was refurbished about a year ago.

A quick stop at the Wetherspoons, no photos.

On the way I saw this pub, interesting name but no real ale so didn't stop here

Then to the Old Market Inn

A quick diversion to the bus garage but I can't remember who owns it

The library was worth a photo

I then went back to the station

for a quick trip to Corby to tick the station. This new station opened in 2009 and has an hourly service provided byEast Midlands Trains.

Then back to Kettering to the Cherry Tree
