A day trip to Lichfield

As I was staying in Birmingham, a friend had suggested Lichfield as a good place for pubs.

First stop was the Brewhouse & Kitchen where 3 of their beers brewed on site were had.

Round the corner to the Angel, a Joules house

As I was walking I noticed these 2 adjacent shops

There's only one to find out which is best.......

 Back to the pubs.

Next up was Beerbohm, a small bar with emphasis on Belgian beers but a good choice of British ones also available.

I had a flight for £3.40 of these beers

Across the road to the Pig owned by Derby brewery.

Up the hill to the Duke of York for another Joules beer

 Back to the Acorn (Wetherspoons) for some food and a beer

Finally found WIP was open. Normally opens at 12 but today was 5 due to staff shortage. This place had only opened about 3 weeks previously

Then the Whippet Inn micropub almost next door to Beerbohm

And finally the Bitter Suite, a large micropub

A beer festival was taking place with another 6 beers available outside

A very enjoyable day there with a good variety of pub styles and beers.
