Phantom Brewing Taproom in Reading

Another brewery taproom has recently opened in Reading. About 10 minutes walk from the station so not as far as the Double Barrelled Taproom.

The 12 beers available were 6 brewed on site and 6 guests

Flying Scotsman visits the Watercress Line

Some photos taken whilst on platform duty at Alton station today.

The Watercress Line had been closed for passenger trains since 1/1/19 for a bridge over Whitedown Lane in Alton to be replaced.

Today saw the re-opening of the line using the famous Flying Scotsman locomotive.

First arrival was a VIP special breaking a banner as it entered the station.

Then a few speeches and plaque unveiling.

FS is seen on its return to the Meon loop just outside Alton station.
